I guess it has been a while since I have put an update on the blog and I have a lot of people asking me how I am doing. So I guess I owe those people who I have been ignoring for the last little while (sorry Deb) a wholehearted update, more in-depth than my usual answer of "fine" to "how are things"
Biggest news first, it has been almost 10 weeks now since my surgery and I have not had a seizure, Pretty crazy! thank God!
The movement on my left side is slowly coming back, I will hopefully be back at work within a week or so and I hope to be back playing drums at church ASAP.
I currently see a physiotherapist once a week and an occupational therapist once a week as well to help me with coordination on my left side and exercises to get me back to normal.
throughout this whole rehab it has been interesting to re-learn how to do simple tasks that I used to take for granted and how small exercises and repetition can help me out so much. gives me a new appreciation when I see a child playing with toys. you never realize how something as small as a kid taking a toy in one hand and passing it to the other hand is so huge for their brain development. Something that I had to learn as I sat playing with nuts and bolts trying to create new pathways in my brain to make up for the section that was cut out.
hope you are all well, I love you lots and thank you for all your prayers.
