I hope you are all having a wonderful time with family and friends today! Here it just keeps on snowing and snowing - I'm guessing that more than 2 feet have fallen and there's still well over a foot on the ground. So this morning the Badke Boys went and played in it:
Which reminds me - if you haven't yet replied to my email asking for info for our January Snow Trip, please do so by Saturday! See you soon!

Something a bit cool...
Hey Guys!
I hope the holidays are treating you well!
So just thought I'd tell you something a bit cool under certain family stressful times.
As you all know my family is on the island in our basement sweet of our house with no kitchen or anything.
So long story short... our car cant get out of the parking spot so we end up walking to the mall ... and eventually a car pulls over and takes us to the mall. The lady we end up finding out is a christian and is born and raised in South Africa. She knew Qwanoes really well and was excited to hear that there was a bible college there.
We end up getting a taxi ride back home later that night, a nice man didn't mind splitting the ride, which was awesome because if we had to wait for another call it would have been a LONG time, because there were tons of calls waiting for taxis....too many calls to little cars!
Then later that night my dad and I needed to get a fridge for the house (a small like pop fridge you see in a pool hall room)...anyways we buy one and try and fit it in our car(which we finally dug out) and realise that we cant fit the small fridge in our trunk or in the back.
we were about to tie some string around the fridge, but this family volunteers to drive it all the way to our house! like WOW!
so yah its just great to see some holiday cheer still out there and a willingness to be helpful to a fellow neighbor.
yah just thanking God! thought u might be encouraged.
Merry Christmas!

Prayer Request
I don't know if any of you remember my testimony (seems like such a long time ago that I gave it). I had told you about how I have epilepsy, I am on medication for it but it doesn't seem to have me totally "controlled". I have not been able to get my drivers license due to my epilepsy (you need to be seizure free for six months). Every time in the past that I have come close to being eligible for a license I seem to have a seizure, and when I say close I am talking within days. I sometimes feel like God is opening a door and calling me towards it and then every time I get close to it he slams it in my face. I say this now because on December 30 my 6 months were going to be up, but oh no what had to happen tonight! A stupid seizure. This is just getting really discouraging.

Hey guys. Hope your christmas break is going amazingly so far. Umm.. I have a bit of a prayer request. Since my dad got re-married, we've found it hard to share the house. He tells me that anything of mine can't be on the floor anywhere around the house (even my shoes by the door) that everything must be in my room. I tend to be a messy person, but within a couple of days I tend to clean up. It really frustrates me to hear my dad tell me that this is patty's house, not mine and I have to respect her rules. I do respect her, I just really feel like they are pushing me out of the house one room at a time. It's gotten so bad that she starts to tidy my room when im away cause she can't wait till I come home to do it. Tonight me and my dad got into another argument about it when Patty put my kitchen knives in my room which I had left in our kitchen. He told me that patty doesnt want anything of mine around the house at all, which is a step up from last time we had this argument. I really feel like I'm being forced to move out of the house. I know personally that I'm not ready to move out next year, let alone handle the cost of it on top of school. Please pray that my parents and I will find some common ground through this. I really don't want this to ruen my holidays. That would be great, thanks! I miss you guys tonz, but it's been really good to see my friends here and get back to subway haha. Hope to hear from you soon! Love ya all
Stretch Your Personal Boundaries!
I hope you won’t mind me interrupting your snooze in front of the fireplace, but it’s kind of a fun interruption. We need to know what you would like to do at Mt Washington the week we are up there in January. Typically, most people ski or snowboard Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, though you could do Nordic skiing (cross-country skate or ski) any of those days if you like. You may want to do the same thing each day, or try a variety of things. If you need more info on Mt Washington, click here.
On Wednesday, we will all take a break from skiing/boarding, and the options are either Nordic skiing, or a snowshoe adventure that includes riding up a lift, exploring snowy back country meadows on the way down, stopping to practice building snow caves and having lunch on the hill - pretty fun.
I sent you an email with all the options, so please email me back and tell me what you would like to do! Please do this no later than December 27, or I will simply choose for you based on our last ski/board sign-up. You may want to discuss this with one another on Facebook or the Blog.

By the way, I changed up the blog so that your comments show up under the post instead of in a pop-up window. Let me know if you think that's okay. Hope to hear from you soon!

A Wonderful Surprise...
Hello Family!
So, I have a funny story for you. After a day out and about in downtown Victoria, I came home around 10:30 to rest my feet and perhaps watch an episode of "The Office". Nathan and I were parked in my driveway chatting a little, and my mom called his cell phone to ask where I was and why I wasn't home yet... Now, she's called for this reason before, like in the summer, and she sounded exactly the same as she did then - irritated that I was not yet inside the house. I informed her that she needn't worry, because I was parked in the driveway having an important conversation... To which she asked me to come inside for a moment so she could ask me something before she went to bed.
Concerned, and slightly worried myself, I went inside. As I stepped inside the doorway, I noticed a pair of shoes that looked very similar to Daneille's... But was too consumed by getting back out to the Nathan's car to finish talking that I brushed past them....
Only to see Malayne and Kristie Voth sitting on my living room couch! And Daneille come walking around the corner!
What a delight!
I think that was one of the best surprises ever.
I miss you all, and love you dearly!
Stay safe :)

Hair...Lots of it.
The sound of the electric razor was in the air as the clock stuck midnight and December came. No Shave November was at an end, and the hairy men took it upon themselves to shave and have some fun at the same time.
It was a crowded bathroom.

Three bearded men.

Three not so bearded men.

212... need I say more?

Jordan just loves to shave...

Talent Show!
Hey Family!
Erin and I are so excited for the Talent Show this Saturday and can't wait to see you rock out your moves, voices, or basically anything you got. We have posted a sign-up sheet downstairs on the bulletin board in the fireside lounge, be sure to sign-up as we need your talent in order to have the show. If you need any props or music just let us know so we can figure everything out. We ask and trust that for the performances you will use your discretion as we want to have a fun and not a completely awkward time. Thanks so much we can't wait to see what you bring to the show!! Jimbadical
So, K6, you were asking - since we required each of you to create a personal blog for your Field Ed course - if I had a blog. I did have a blog that I hadn't posted to since 2005, but I have resurrected it and named it Jimbadical, and you can get to it by clicking on that name.
I would be interested in chatting with you about the things I post there, either through the "comments" on the Blog, or better yet in person. And that goes for you too, Kaleo 1-5. I hope to talk with you soon!

From Jan to now
Hahaha ok so I just went back to read all the posts that we ahve added since january, and I'm sitting here laughing because of how excited we were and how jer and I would check the blog like 60 times a day and there was never a new post. haha and the comments that people left. It's pretty sweet to go back there and see how I viewed everyone then and how no one except maybe jesse are how I guessed theywould be. It's pretty sweet to see the change since then. Haha, I remember the first post I was writing, it took me I think 5 times to like what I was writing. And to decide on my picture, hahaha I wanted to feel cool. and now, I really dont know why I was so worried. hahaha. Good times. you should go back and check your old posts out, it's pretty fun. Love ya all!!!!!! I'm so glad we are a family

Ok so there has been a lot of talk of rainbows and how beautiful they are! We were blessed last week with 2 rainbows that for some of us it meant more to us than to others. I was able to capture a few shots of it!! So i wanted to share it with you all.
