Hey y'all! So, I guess this makes me the third Kaleo '08/'09 person to blog on here. This is so exciting!
So, I guess for a little background of why I'm planning on going to Kaleo... I have a friend who's currently at Kaleo, and she's sounded soo excited about the whole thing. So, then, when I randomly found a brochure at my church, I decided to check it out on the internet. Needless to say, as I was on the site, I ended up getting crazy butterflies and this insanely excited feeling, like maybe, just maybe, God has big plans for me at this place. As a matter of fact, they're the kind of excited, can't sit still butterflies that I have right now as I think about going more and more and as I read your posts! I've been looking around at different bible schools, because my plan all along has been to dedicate that year right after high school to God; to discovering his calling and establishing strong roots for the rest of my grown-up life. And Kaleo just feels right! Out of all the other schools, its the one I feel the most drawn to; the one I feel I'm already a part of, already in too deep to even want to consider somewhere else. I think I'll experience things different from everything I've ever known and am comfortable with, which is why I'm so excited and also slightly terrified about the whole thing. Anyways, I feel very scatter-brained in this post. Hope it made some sense to you all! :) Can't wait to meet you all!

Alright, because of Eric Johnson, I am the second person to write on this blog. Sweet.
So, I am not entirely sure why I am going to Kaleo. I know I feel called to lead, so that is one reason. I guess I just feel like God wants me there and that's why I applied. It was definitely an answer to prayer when I got the phone call saying I was accepted. That was a sweet day! I'm not sure what to expect out of it, but I know that God has his hand in it all, so there is no need for me to worry. Oh, but I do have a prayer request for those who may read this. The financial aspect of this whole thing... I know God will provide it, but if you could pray for that whole deal, that would be awesome. Other than that, I am pumped beyond belief for next year and I know I will learn so much.

nutshell background.
hello.
it appears that i may be the first kaleoSix student to post. my goodness, i'm honored. i'll dig right in.
my reason for coming to kaleo is simple. i know God has called me to ministry. this i don't doubt. however, as hard as i try to step on to a normal path towards a ministry oriented career i find myself increasingly unsettled. i'm clueless as to God's plan for me. i'm not even completely sure what my definition of ministry is anymore, other than the fact that i'd prefer it to match with God's. for some reason it took a bit of time to admit these things to myself. although, once i did kaleo fell in my lap and something finally made sense. i'm looking forward to this.
see you in a few months or so.
