I need to request your attention.
Ok, so Lauren went to Thailand a while back and came into contact with a mission there called SHE (http://shethailand.org). SHE gets girls who are in the sex trade out of bars and gives them jobs making jewelery or bakery stuff for an hourly wage. Lauren and I both feel super called to help this organization, and our hearts are with those girls.
We found out tonight that because they haven't been getting enough money from supporters, they didn't have enough money to pay the girls wages, so they had to lay off 13 of the girls, leaving them with 5. 13 girls previously trapped in the sex trade are now without jobs, perhaps thinking that their only way to survive is to go back to the bars.
Check out the website, read some of the little articles, and then pray for those girls.. they could be our sisters.
